Calendula absinthe is produced in the monastery distillery Neuzelle. Due to the name here are used Calendula Flowers or just in English marigold flowers. But the raw materials wormwood, fennel and anise were used to the production process too. Absinthe Calendula has a yellow colour, which comes as the result of marigold flower extracts, of course. The monastery distillery Neuzelle was first mentioned anno 1589 and is known for high quality production of spirits and herbal liqueurs. Cause of the calendula flowers also a mild sweetness resulting from a balanced slightly spicy, but not yet sharp overall flavor has this Calendula absinthe.
