Metelka absinthe Couperosée (the red one) is one of the three absinthes from Metelka, that is produced as first in the Czech republic from wine-distillation. Wine-distillation is a basic alcohol won from grapes, that shows already a certain mild own-taste in contrast to (mostly) neutral-alcohol won from grain or turnips. Absinthe Couperosée has an intensively-red color. After opening, a wonderful scent emerges from the bottle. It has become use a more bitter taste as the green Metelka very little absinthe and anise, wish most of our customers just like it. With addition of very cold water, a very easy clouding steps one, that confirms the very low anise-content.
